Africa climate summit is an annual conference that happens in the five regions of the united nations.

The summit this year is held under the theme ” driving green growth and climate finance for Africa and the world” is aimed at mobilizing action in the lead up to the United Nations climate change conference.

President William Ruto who opened the summit was seen driving a small electric car that does not use fuel in his campaign for low emission for long term and sustainable transportation solution for humanity.

During the opening ceremony, president William Ruto said that Africa has an ample renewable energy potential and resources to green its own consumption and meaningful contribution to decarbonization of the global economy.

However, the vocal Narok county Senator hon Ledama ole Kina has reacted after a helicopter was spotted flying above the venue in Nairobi where the summit is taking place.

Senator ole Kina said that this is the hypocrisy of the highest order that a helicopter that is emitting carbon which is the main pollutant in modern world is surveiling the atmosphere to monitor the security situation in the ongoing African summit on climate change.

“Hypocrisy of the highest order! We are here talking about climate change and up above the main hall a Helicopters, which is responsible for a significant part of the carbon footprint in the world is hovering over.”

The Africa climate summit is taking place at the Kenyatta international convention center where dignitaries across the world moreso heads of state from Africa have grace the event.
