United Democratic Alliance party has this evening suffered a big blow following the decision of the high court upholding the ruling by the magistrate court revoking the nomination of eleven Members of County Assembly (MCAs) on the ground of illegality.
Chief Magistrate Dennis Mikoyani on March 15, 2023 revoked the nomination of the 11 UDA MCAs following a petition filed by two residents of Uasin Gishu county Celestine Mutai and Robert Kiptanui on the ground that the list of nominated MCAs published by IEBC on 9th September 2022 was different from what the party had published and submitted in July 27th, 2023.
In conclusion, the High Court decision of uphelding the results of revoking the nomination of 11 MCAs is a big blow to UDA party that is under the leadership of President William Ruto.
