Dr. Ekuru Aukot has said, So, useless and thieving @KenyaPower_Care, @KenyaPower is always quick to send threatening messages to its customers like “your account will be suspended”, BUT are not quick to fix power outages. This parastatal is falling apart. It’s time we liberalize power generation and distribution.

There is ineptitude at Kenya’s power and the powers that be ought to ensure some heads are rolling. We can’t talk development when we have national blackouts that last almost twelve hours. In civilized nations, the minister concerned is held responsible for failing in his duties. Countrywide blackout is not good.

How do we have a blackout in a country for a freaking 8+ hours? Who is responsible for the mess that will happen in many public hospitals that are ill-prepared for such long hours of blackout, who pays for our spoilt food in the fridges in this tough economy? Also, the people in charge of Kenya’s power should be held accountable for the frequency of these national blackouts. It looks like sabotage now.

What happened to parastatals in the last 10 years of Nyayo should give anyone chills right now … Things may get very bad in front here. Kenya Power is obsessed with profit with unhindered greed in a brutal and remorseless fashion. The blackouts have been happening for a while now and no one is being held accountable, What’s wrong with Kenya Power?

The problem is there’s no competition, we should have another plc company that can at least compete with plc as long as Kenya power is a private company. All in all, we have to say thank you plc. It is the minister who should be heading to the statehouse with a resignation letter. A big illegal consignment belongs to a KK bigwig passed out of the Airport. Kindiki also announced the removal of roadblocks. A UK minister won’t go on Twitter tweeting senseless statements instead he or she hangs the boots.
