The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party have revealed that Azimio leader Raila Odinga held a high profile meeting with members of the Council of Governors from the opposition wing.
According to the information shared by the party, the seasoned opposition led met the governors at his Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation Offices in Upperhill, Nairobi, today morning, for a consultative meeting.
The party have also revealed that the meeting was convened to discuss matters of mutual interest.
“This morning, Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party Leader @RailaOdinga held a consultative meeting with Members of the Council of Governors from the Coalition at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation Offices in Upperhill. Matters of mutual interest were discussed,” informed the ODM party.
As seen in the photos shared by the source, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembea, Kisii Governor Simba Arati, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Mombasa Governor Abdulwasmad Nassir, Siaya Governor James Orengo are some of the governors who attended the meeting.
Former Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and former Presidential candidate George Wajakoyah were also spotted at the meeting.
It should be remembered that the meeting comes only few days before the Council of governors meeting that is set to be held in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
Raila Odinga is expected to deliver a keynote address at the council of governors meeting in Eldoret on Thursday, only a day after President William Ruto shall have opened the meeting.
