The former Safaricom PLC Board member Michael Joseph who just resigned has now hinted at who is set to replace him after his resignation from board during an interview today. This comes after he said that his time was up after different engagements in other companies.

According to the reliable source, Micheal Joseph has been handed third three year term as KQ chairman and has claimed that the listed telco now needs stronger board participation as far as strategy and commercial prospects of the business are concerned. He has gone ahead to hint that when he stepped down as chairman he became nominated director of Vodacom and so he represented Vodacom on the board thus his replacement will certainly come from Vodacom.

At the same time, he added hopefully it will somebody that brings a broader view about strategy and where the mobile industry is going. He has also said that he told president William Ruto about his resignation from the popular Telco company.
