The Barbie International Film screening has been the talk of town for the past two days after several Kenyan celebrities were invited to grace the launch of the film here in Kenya. Among the celebrities that graced the event include former Machachari actress Joy, social influencer Fao Shyshy, among many others. Well, Akothee’s daughter Vesha Sharleen also happens to have been one of the invited guests, but she reveals that she had to walk out of the event.
Through an Instagram video that she shared on Sunday 23rd July, Vesha argued that the film in question was boring for her and she feels it did not deserve the hype that it got.
“I literally had to walk out, I think Iam too old for Barbie and I felt that it is a film for 8-year-olds.” Vesha argued.
While the event got various positive reviews from other celebrities who attended, Vesha was not the only public figure who criticised the event. Former Machachari actor Govi also argued that Kenyans ought to be excited while supporting Kenyan content as much as they support international films. Moreover, controversial content creator Shorn Arwa also slammed some celebrities who attended the event claiming that their dress Code was below par.
