Today in the evening, reports have emerged on what Raila Odinga’s bodyguard has revealed three days after he was arrested by the police while on his way to workplace.

As reported by Capital FM, Odinga’s bodyguard said that as soon as he was arrested, the investigators demanded that he should give them Raila Odinga’s programme for wednesday where he was set to lead maandamano in Nairobi. On his response to this demand, Ogeta told the investigators that Raila Odinga had no programme for wednesday as he was not feeling well and thus he was not going to lead protests.

Ogeta also said that the investigators wanted him to reveal all the routes that Odinga was going to use for his protests. He was then asked to sign a form on inventories that were found on his car at the time of arrest. He said that he signed for some and refused for some saying that some inventories written were not on his car. Ogeta was talking to a Kisumu based radio station.

“They sought to know the programme that my boss had for the demonstrations’ tried explaining to them that my boss had no programme since he was not feeling well and that he would not go to the demonstrations. I signed part of the inventory. I told them I don’t agree with some of those things because they recorded what they wanted and not what was in my car,” Said Raila Odinga’s bodyguard.

His arrest on Wednesday sparked some mixed reactions in the country with the opposition calling for an immediate release though his whereabouts were not known. Others who were arrested a day to maandamano is the Embakasi East member of parliament hon Babu Owino and the former Mungiki leader hon Maina Njenga.
