Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance headed by Raila Amollo Odinga called for nationwide protests starting tomorrow until Friday. The ant government protests are aimed at forcing President William Samoei Ruto’s government to lower the high cost of living that has brought by increase in VAT on petroleum products.
President Ruto’s government has been issuing warnings of arrest against the opposition if they go ahead with the planned protests tomorrow.
There is a lot of fear that protesters will destroy properties and even there might be lose of lives. This has made the former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe to ask President William Samoei Ruto and the opposition chief Raila Amollo Odinga to have sobriety and put the country first before self.
Akombe went ahead and said that she is praying for the Lord to touch them to make a good decision for this country.
