Former Gatundu South Member of Parliament and current Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has been on loggerhead with the first family where he has been attacking them verbally and linking the former president Uhuru Kenyatta to chaos being experienced in the country. Kuria without giving any evidence has been saying that former president Uhuru Kenyatta has been the main financier of the Azimio protests and he was just using Raila Odinga to advance his agenda.
This attacks on the first family have however not gone down well with the Gatundu South residents who have now come out demanding the Trade, Industry and Investment Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria to apologize to the first family for his attacks.
Kuria, who was speaking during Ndumo ya Mt Kenya entertainment event organized by gospel artiste Ngaruiya Junior at Gatundu Stadium last Sunday, is said to have hurled unprintable epithets at the former president and his family. Kuria warned the former president for allegedly using the Azimio protests to sabotage the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Led by a group of elderly men, women and the youth, the residents demanded that Kuria apologises to the Kenyattas for the unsavoury comments he made during the event. The locals also warned Kuria to concentrate on his job and avoid politicking and work to deliver on what he was appointed for.
“Kuria should concentrate on restoring sanity in the macadamia sector that is dying. He was not appointed to be abusing people, his job is to grow investments locally and help small businesses grow. Let him focus on delivering the promises Ruto made to Kenyans including creating jobs for the unemployed,” Monica Njeri said.
