Controversial Shakilla, a Kenyan socialite, has gained attention online after images of her purportedly altered by her surfaced.
These images were originally posted by her and revealed an M-Pesa balance of almost Sh300,000. After seeing the screenshots, many people assumed the child was filthy rich.

Not long after she posted the screenshots on her social media accounts, users began speculating about what they might have seen. The screenshots revealed that Goodluck Mbah wired Shakila a total of Sh. 285,000.
The fact that M-PESA was spelled with a lowercase p rather than an uppercase m was intriguing. Due of this, the social media community quickly realized that the photo was fake and that the socialite had altered it to deceive her fans.

Several people on Twitter have asked the controversial socialite to address the discrepancy in her screenshot.They said she shouldnât have any trouble setting the record straight, as she didnât have any trouble providing the information in the first place. Some online commenters even went so far as to say the socialite was a liar to her devoted followers

Because of the potential impact such misleading material could have on her young social media followers, they urged her to refrain from posting it.
