Raila Odinga, who is the head of the Azimio La Umoja One-Kenya coalition, canceled the planned assembling at Kamukunji.
The ODM chief informed the nation from the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi that the planned event had been canceled due to the premeditated violent measures against protestors.
Raila stated that he has witnessed police brutality against his supporters, actions that have resulted in one person’s death today.
Miguna Miguna, Raila’s critic, has reacted to today’s protest after the Nairobi Express Way was trashed during the Azimio demonstration.
He believes that it is true that Kenyans are hungry and unhappy, and that the Kenya Kwanza administration is responding slowly to their poor situation.
He also claimed that Kenya Kwanza has failed to adequately communicate on any programs and community efforts they have put in place to reduce the country’s very high cost of living.”It’s true that Kenyans are hungry and extremely angry. It’s true that Kenyans are disappointed by the slowness with which Kenya Kwanza administration is responding to their dire straits. It’s true that Kenya Kwanza has failed to COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY on whatever programs and CONCRETE initiatives they have put in place to alleviate the biting HIGH COST of LIVING.” part of the tweet.
He wrote a note to Raila Odinga, urging him to avoid the approach they are taking to deal with the crisis.
According to Miguna, RailaOdinga and his Allies are exploiting the situation and wreaking havoc on the problems generated by the handshake.
He went on to tell Kenyans that trashing the highways, roads, and property they paid for with their taxes was not the best way to vent their rage.”But fellow Kenyans, destroying the highways, roads and property you paid for with your TAXES and whose repair and reconstruction you will pay for isn’t the most PRODUCTIVE way to express your anger.” part of his tweet.
