The situation has further deteriorated due to a recent incident involving police officers attempting to control demos. Mlolongo has been heavily affected by today’s demonstrations resulting in injuries to both police and civilians. Ground reports indicate that the situation was extremely dangerous leading to the injury of one of the deployed officers.

Again, it has been revealed that civilians did not manage to safely escape. It is said that three people were fired with live bullets but were not killed. This was a sign of warning to them to keep off what they are doing since they are might end up dead if the don’t stop demonstrations.

Media reports have disclosed that a police officer found themselves hospitalized with injuries after engaging in a violent confrontation with civilians who are protesting against the government. The injured officer was reportedly hurt in Mlolongo, Machakos, and had to seek medical treatment at Kitengela sub-county hospital. This incident highlights the seriousness with which people are taking these demonstrations.
