Popular Akorino musician Watoro Wa Mother has reportedly fallen into mental illness.
According to his friend and colleague in the gospel music industry Karangu Muraya, Watoro has been mentally disturbed and his family has confirmed his condition.
“Hey friends; thank you all for reaching out to me concerning the issue of my friend Watoro Wa Mother. I have also noticed that all is not well. I have consulted some of his family members and some clergy and I know everything will be. Let’s just pray for him,” Muraya posted on Facebook on Sunday.
Watoro, the artist behind hits such as Kioneki, Mugate, Tumaai, Bendera among others, has been making some offensive posts on social media and refusing to apologize when asked to do so by the offended parties.
On Sunday morning, he went live on Facebook and bitterly demanded money from Kenyans particularly those in Gulf countries to build a church in his village in Murang’a county.
He said those who will get his message and refuse to donate to his project will face the wrath of God.
Later in the day, Muraya and a friend took Watoro to Rev Jacob Gathuku who prayed for him in his church.
Muraya, who is also a social media influencer, also apologized to all those who have been offended by Watoro and asked them to forgive him noting his condition has been affecting his moods and behaviour.
“We are trusting God for the restoration of this man. Devil has brought so many stars down, but we are trusting and decraling that Watoro Wa Mother will not go down. May God of second chance that we have prayed restore him and heal him. To those who have felt offended by his numerous lives and messages, I apologize on his behalf….poleni sana. Thank you Rev Jacob for your love and prayers…..watu wa Gulf, poleni sana,” Muraya posted
