High Court Judge Mugure Thande has made a major ruling on the finance Bill yet again dealing president William Ruto and his camp a huge blow. The judge has declined to suspend the orders against the finance Bill despite the State argument that they were losing billions from the ruling of the court against the bill.
Justice Mugure Thande has sent a letter to the Chief Justice Martha Koome asking her to form a 3 judge bench to hear the matter on Finance Bill. The case against the government Bille was taken to court by Busia Sanator Okiyah Omtatah and he seems to stop the government in all the court rulings.

Justice Mugure Thande has affirmed that the state cannot carry an illegality as a means of raising revenue from Kenyans and that’s why she has suspended the bill. This puts Ruto’s taxes on Finance Bill Into jeopardy yet government is faced with huge financial challenges.
President Ruto and his camp have warned severally that court stops pushing laws against the bill for this amounts to economic sabotage. Unfortunately, it’s clear that the court is largely focused on seeing the law followed to the letter and spirit of the constitution.
