Laikipia University fraternity has been thrown into mourning after losing one of its students. The news of the demise permeated social media as students shared his photo and sent their messages of condolences. Many could not believe losing one of their friend and classmate.
In a post shared around midday on Monday, it announced that one of the students identified as Pius Nyaga was no more. The young man was on teaching practice at Shamanei Secondary School in Nyahururu.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that he died due to carbon monoxide poisoning from a ‘jiko.’ It is unfortunate that Pius has died after almost completeling his attachment and more importantly a few months to his graduation. May the family receive God’s comfort during such a difficult time.
Pius was on teaching practice with fellow students who were in their last semester of 4th year. They were to complete their attachment in various schools before graduating this December.
