Government is underway to make changes in the education sector to improve the strength competency based curriculum. The government through the Ministry of Education task force has proposed that the National schools should be abolished and Kenya national examination council be renamed. they have also proposed that learners sit for examinations in grades 6, 9, and 12.Photo courtesy, image used for evidence and illustration purposes only.

The grade six examination will not be influencing the junior secondary selection. The senior secondary schools will also be classified based on the subject that they offer a grade 9 examination will consist of 60%. The government wants to ensure that every student gets the contact data teacher is teaching to enhance children getting skills.
