Viewers of Inooro TV were left stranded on Thursday 22nd, during the morning hours after the station failed to air a popular morning political show, Inooro Ruciini.
The fans of the show which airs from 6AM to 9AM did not know what was happening as the station had not not given a prior notice that the programme would not air. Instead of airing the show, the station resulted to playing gospel music back to back, consuming all the 3 hours of the morning show.
Following concerns from fans, the station responded in the social media platforms where they disclosed that the station had faced a system failure and went ahead to apologize to the viewers.
“To our beloved viewers, Thankyou for your patience at this difficult time that we are unable to air our programmes Inooro Ruciini and Kimuri. We are experiencing a system failure and we are working on it,” read a statement from the media station.
After around three hours, the systems were back and the station continued with it’s daily programmes. Despite missing the Inooro Ruciini programme, the viewers were able to enjoy the Kimuri show.
Before this announcement by the media station, fans of Inooro Ruciini had flocked the Facebook page of Njoroge Githinji, one of the hosts of the show, seeking to know what was going on.
Inooro TV is a vernacular broadcasting station which is under the Royal Media Services (RMS). The station broadcasts in Kikuyu language. The Inooro Ruciini show is hosted by Kamau Kang’ethe and Njoroge Githinji.
