Since the opening of Kenya-Somalia boarder, there have numerous incident of insecurity in Lamu and Mandera county, which has resulted to loss of many Kenya Defence Force and General Service Unit officers.
Sometimes back, the boarder was closed and put under 24/7 surveillance by our army troops, and this prevented free movement of people from crossing between the two countries hence few insecurity reports.
The recent deadly attack took place in the Tarbi region along the Banisa Rhamu highway in Mandera county, northeastern Kenya. Men in blue were escorting a public service vehicle when the cat they were using accidentally triggered a deadly bomb.
This devastated incident has just occurred a day after the same Somalia based organization militants unleashed terror in Lamu killing Kenya Defence Force troops.
They are currently targeting security employees and other security personnels in this country and this should be made a national disaster, because it’s posing a growing danger across the nation.
