The world has been in shock as movie writers has been on strike for five weeks outside the Netflix Headquarters in Los Angeles as they demand their issues to be addressed by movie companies such as Netflix, Disney, and Amazon. This has been posted on Larry Madowo’s official facebook page, who is a widely known journalist.

The writers have been complaining about many issues that they want to be addressed including the number of writers who should be retained by the movie companies, the amount of work they should be doing, amount of money pated to them as compensation of their work among many other issues.

The strike has been a great shock since it has been prolonged and firm, and the last time it happened was back in 2007. The script writers began their strike on 2nd May and they haven’t called it off yet, with talks among the movie companies and the writers yet expected to be held in an attempt to find a solution to the problem and ease the highly rising tension.

As the companies remain calm, many activities have been affected by the strike such as production of earlier scheduled movies and TV shows. Abbot Elementary is one of the series that have been affected by the strike since the strike commenced the day its production was scheduled and had to be postponed until an amicable solution is reached.

However, other earlier published movies and programs are running smoothly without being affected by the sudden tension and misunderstanding of the two parties.

Writers have been very essential to the Television programs specifically in writing and rewriting movies and TV programs. Most of the times, writers are forced to rewrite movies due factors such as an actor leaving a certain program or due to disagreements. Hollywood therefore needs a deep dialogue with their writers in order to restore back its glory else, the company is going to suffer losses.
