His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto has on Tuesday received the Botswanan vice President in State House Nairobi.
The visiting dignitary was taken to see the Kenyan Head of State by His Excellency the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and other top dignitaries.
The Head of State has shared photos after the top meeting which was also attended by the Cabinet Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Cooperatives CS Simon Chelugui.
The Kenyan president also took the opportunity to offer his message of condolences to the Botswanan Head of State Mokgweetsi Masisi who recently lost his mother.
“At State House, Nairobi, met Botswana Vice President Slumber Tsogwane who is in Nairobi for the Second Session of the United Nations Habitat Assembly; offered our condolences to President Mokgweetsi Masisi for losing his dear mother.”His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto.
In his message, the Kenyan president has noted that the here exists a huge trade potential between Kenya and Botswana. Yet, the volumes remain proportionately low due to barriers. Kenya undertakes to expand trade in horticulture, petroleum oils, medicines, textiles, cutlery and furniture through the exploitation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), which Botswana ratified early in the year.
