Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has hit out at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his ally Kimani Ichungwah for constantly claiming that they are sons of Mau Mau. Raila Odinga further challenged them to produce evidence or proof to show that they are indeed sons of Mau Mau.
While addressing the media, Raila Odinga also demanded that DP Gachagua come clean on his grandfather who was assassinated by the Mau Mau in 1953 for collaborating with the colonialists.
Raila Odinga said that there was a chief by the name of Nderi Gachagua Wang’ombe who comes from Mathira in Nyeri county, he collaborated with the colonialists and due to anger he was assassinated by Mau Mau for betraying them.
Raila wants DP Gachagua to declare his relationship with the said Chief contrary to his sentiments which he normally says that he is the son of Mau Mau.
Raila further insisted that he has asked his Azimio troops to oppose the Finance Bill that is set to be debated in the National Assembly. He warned those MPs who will support the bill saying Kenyans will take note of them and punish them in 2027.
All attention will now focus on Mps to see what will transpire this week when the contentious bill will be discussed in the National Assembly.
