The Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has today added his weight on the ongoing conversation revolving around contributions to the Housing Fund.
Speaking during the official opening of the Second Session of the United Nations Habitat Assembly in Gigiri today the 5th of June 2023, the head of state His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has made it mandatory for all Kenyan citizens to contribute to the housing fund.
The Head of State has emphasized that three per cent will squarely be deducted from the salaries of all Kenyan citizens in the formal sector every month and the deduction will perpetually be channelled to the Housing Fund.
The President has underscored that the funds deducted from the salaries of Kenyan citizens and subsequently channelled to the Housing Fund will play a fundamental role in enabling all Kenyan citizens to acquire affordable houses.
