There have been reports of road accidents in several countries across the world. Many lives have been lost due to the accidents. The majority of reported accidents were caused by drivers, passengers, or pedestrians who were either negligent or reckless. There are now many children without parents and many sad families. Motorists have been asked to practice safe driving habits in order to reduce the number of traffic fatalities.
According to the new information, five people have been confirmed dead after a bus full of passengers collided with a lorry. The truck was ferrying charcoal when it was involved in a nasty road accident. The truck had developed mechanical issues. The bus belonged to a company called California Bus Company. According to the report released by the police, the bodies have been taken to the mortuary, and one of them has been identified as Alex Muwanga.
“The bodies of five people have been taken to Nakasongola Health Centre IV mortuary. One of the deceased persons has been identified as Alex Muwanga,” a Police spokesperson confirmed.
One of the witnesses said that the bus was overspeeding, and he narrowly escaped the accident. He said that his vehicle was damaged during the accident.
“It was a terrifying scene as I tried to save my life when the bus hit my car from the rear. Luckily I managed to park my vehicle that got some slight damage,” the witness said.
The incident happened in Nakasongola District in Uganda.
