On Saturday, 27 May 2023, United Democratic Alliance Party vice Chairperson Seth Panyako made a shocking move when he rendered his resignation from the party.

Panyako cited the housing levy being pushed by President Wiliam Ruto and the cost of living which keeps on increasing.
His move has been lauded by politicians allied to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party which is also opposed to Ruto’s taxes.

One of those who have commented on the move is Businessman cum politician Alinur Mohamed.
Taking to his official social media pages, the Flamboyant politician noted that the move by Panyako should let Ruto know that whatever he is forcing on Kenyans is wrong and should think about it.
Describing Panyako as a Minor individual in Ruto’s Government, Alinur faulted Government officials who can not gather courage and tell the president that the house levy is punitive.
However, he predicted that the ruling party United Democratic Alliance, might not reach 2027 while still alive.
“A story is told about a king who was naked but his servants and body- guards were too afraid to tell him the truth. It had to take the intervention of a minor to tell the king not what he wanted to hear, but what he needed to hear! The minor in UDA is Seth Panyako” Alinur posted on his official social media pages.
“All other senior leaders around President William Ruto including his Deputy President are afraid to tell him the truth on this housing fund tax. I can assure you UDA will not make it to the next elections alive.” He added.
