Popular Mugithi artist Lawrence Njuguna alias DJ Fatxo has showered praises to his fiance Gathoni Waruguru for giving her unwavering support when he was being probed over the mysterious death of the late interior designer Jeff Mwathi. Speaking to Nairobi News, Fatxo expressed gratitude for his fiancé’s loyalty, adding that her love is genuine.
However, he has no plans of marrying her at the moment. The singer admitted that he is cash trapped since he has not performed in any show for several months.
He also lost lucrative deals where he had been signed as a brand ambassador after Jeff Mwathi’s scandal erupted. According to Fatxo, he doesn’t have financial means to marry Gathoni, an upcoming vernacular media personality, unless Kenyans support him.
However, he believes that everything will fall into place at the right time. “I love her so much and it’s great to see her being so genuine. At the moment, I don’t have the financial means to marry her unless Kenyans support me. When the time comes, everything will fall into place,” he said.
Gathoni has been publicly showing support to DJ Fatxo by penning him encouraging messages. The couple went public about their affair earlier this year.
