Nyeri county governor Hon Mutahi Kahiga is the latest leader to react to the just concluded National Delegates Conference that was held by former ruling party Jubilee. The vocal governor has criticized former President Uhuru Kenyatta for engaging himself in active politics.

While addressing the media, Governor Mutahi Kahiga criticized Uhuru Kenyatta telling him to get prepared to face other politicians on the ground if he wants to come back into politics.

He further questioned if the former President has intentions of running for a political seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He said that the decision of Uhuru Kenyatta to remain active, especially streamlining the Jubilee party may be one way for him to prepare for the upcoming polls.

He informed the former head of state to accept that his time in politics is over and he should go home and enjoy his retirement. Kahiga says that Uhuru Kenyatta should make peace with the fact that his tenure in Kenya politics is over.

He accused him of destroying the Jubilee party even before the last year’s general elections and he has warned that the former head of state will also sink the remaining Jubilee part if he does not exit politics as soon as possible.
