If you are a social media user you must have come across Joy Wa Macharia at some point. She is a renown kikuyu Benga musician and a social media influencer who always speak the truth without fear of implications or trolls from Kenyans.
For sometimes now some Kikuyu celebrities have been extracting money from innocent Kenyans in the name helping the poor and the less fortunate in the society. They usually make up stories and later post them on social media calling upon Kenyans to help the poor or disabled persons but they are the ones consuming the money sent by followers.
Joy Wa Macharia posted on her Facebook page saying she is wondering when people will stop the nonsense of pretending to be generous and kind on social media but on the ground they are different people. She asked why should someone lie to people that they are helping someone to a point people trust them and send them money and you don’t help them.
She said their only job is taking pictures with the person and post them warning them that they might be cursed together with their children for the lies.
