Some days ago the State was sued by Pastor Ezekiel Odero for closing down both his Mavueni church and his World Evangelism TV station.
Additionally, the pastor filed a petition with the Mombasa High Court asking for conservatory orders against the State for continuing to interfere with his ministry.
Following his release from prison last Thursday, Odero wants the court to prevent the government from taking irrational and arbitrary actions that may negatively impact his church and supporters.
But the man of God will remember today for receiving bad news from the registrar of societies to close down his church over failure to file tax returns since its registration in 2012.
Ezekiel’s lawyers have said that they will go to court so that to prevent the church from being closed down.
