A middle-aged man identified as Samuel Ayoo, 35, was admitted to Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital following a robbery incident at his home in Homa Bay town.
Reportedly, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning at around 2:30 a.m. when seven men broke into his house.
The thugs had their faces covered and informed him that they didn’t want to steal anything but only to kill him for unclear reasons.
Samuel pleaded with them not to harm him or his family and instead take his car, but they refused.
The thugs then turned to his wife and asked her for money, only to later forcefully fully rápe her in front of their two kids after she explained that she didn’t have any money.
One of the thugs then hit Simon with a blunt object on the back of his head, abdomen, and ribs, leaving him injured.
After committing the heinous act, the suspects stole two mobile phones and 3,900 shillings before fleeing from the scene.
Both Simon Ayoo and his wife were admitted to Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment.
The incidents have since been reported at Homa Bay police station, and investigations are ongoing.
