Slyvanus Onyiego Osoro is the current member of parliament for South Mugirango constituency in Kisii county, he successfully retained his seat on a United Democratic Alliance ticket, having served as a member of parliament since 2017.
Ezekiel Ombaki Machogu is a former Kisii county governor aspirant on a United Democratic alliance ticket but he lost to Paul Simba Arati of the Orange Democratic Movement party, Machogu was lucky enough to be appointed to serve as the cabinet secretary for education by William Ruto.
Sylvanus Osoro has told Kitutu Chache North member of Parliament Anthony Kibagendi, nominated MP Nyakerario and Nyaribari Masaba MP Daniel Manduku that they were on the other side of coalition and that is why CS Machogu gave him 100 teacher service commission employment letters to his cobstituency, he challenged the MPs to announce their current stand before he takes all letters.
Osoro said that Machogu made his money along time ago and he has no governor and presidential interests hence the MPs should not fight him.
