Video has now emerged revealing the state of commotion that ensured at Shakahola Area today after Azimio leader Raila Odinga was denied entry after arriving at the area to view the ongoing exhumation of bodies believed to have been buried by cult leader Paul Mackenzie.

In the video shared by a reliable source of information, Raila’s ally (Kilifi County Woman Rep Gertrude Mbeyu) lost her Temper after Raila Odinga was denied entry into the Shakahola Area and was captured fuming at the police officers manning the area.

The Woman could be heard questioning the police on why they had decided to block the Azimio leader. She demanded that the police present at the area should instruct them on who they should call to get the permission to enter the area as she threatened to call Police Inspector General Japheth Koome over the matter.

The Woman Rep wondered why the police could not show respect for Azimio leader Raila Odinga as she engaged the police in a conversation.

“Why are you doing this? Huheshimu Baba? Tuambie tupigie IG (Don’t you respect Baba? Tell us to phone call IG),” a furious Gertrude told the police.

The police officers however explained to the Azimio leaders that they were only working under instructions and that they were not allowed to grant entry to anyone in not the area.

“Nakupea heshima zako zote na Sina emotions. Tumetoka mbali tuje hapa kufanyia wakenya kazi. Hapa hakuna samba ya mtu (I respect you and am not emotional. We have both come from far to work for Kenyans hear. There is no one’s land here),” one of the officers told the Azimio leaders.

Breaking his silence amid the commotion, Raila told the police officers that what was happening was not right. He said that the police that even members of the public should not be barred from the area because what is happening at Shakahola has attracted the attention of the whole world.

“What is happening here is known to the whole world. You will never bar members of the public from seeing what’s going on. You can’t bar even the media and people sending humanitarian assistance,” Raila told the police.
