Former president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta visited the Jubilee headquarters today as the dispute between Kanini Kega and Jeremiah Kioni heats up.
The two Jubilee parties’ leadership is allegedly involved in a fight for dominance of the party.
The police had no choice but to use tear gas to disperse the two crowds as Uhuru approached the building. Speaking to the Jubilee members, Uhuru claimed that Sabina Chege and Kanini Kega were illegally employed and are now attempting to obstruct party activities.
The former head of state asserted that members of President Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza, including Kanini Kega, Sabina Chege, and others, ought to resign from the party right away. Only a limited few individuals, in Uhuru’s opinion, won’t be able to intimidate or blackmail the party.
Moreover, Uhuru gave orders to Jeremiah Kioni, David Muraithe, and other prominent figures to exert a great deal of effort and recruit as many people as they could. He was critical of the RPP’s selection to delist the former party leadership.
