National assembly majority leader honorable Kimani Ichung’wa has once again caused fireworks in parliament after he has threatened to go after Uhuru Kenyatta and his allies who served in the previous government.
In his deliberations, Ichung’wa has pointed out how the former chaiman pocketed millions for giving advice to Telkom. He has gone ahead to accuse him of engaging in a conflict of interest during his tenure.
“At a time this gentleman was being paid for being smart in advising Telkom that is a Telco provider, this gentleman was serving as a chair of Safaricom PLC. You know government has shareholding in both companies therefore there was already a direct conflict of interest,” said honorable Kimani Ichung’wa.
He went on to add that they are going to ensure parliamentary committees brings all those who looted from public coffers in the Uhuru regime are brought to book with cartels included.
“Committees of this house must ensure that these thieves must be brought to book. With those many remarks honorable speaker because I see am inviting many points of objection but I hope they are not in any way to gag me from calling out the thieves and the cartels that looted this country dry in the last regime,” added honorable Kimani Ichung’wa.
