Flamboyant singer Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee relinquished her position as the self-declared President of Single Mothers in Kenya on Monday after her grand wedding at Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club. She wedded Denis Schweizer.
The businesswoman is a mother of 1, 2… 5 children from different fathers. In Kenya, single mothers with more than two children are considered “rejects” and only few men would be willing to date and marry them.
Not Akothee. The proud mum has been a hot cake in the dating scene. She has sampled multiple men, agreeing to marry some and later divorcing them.
And what makes her special is the fact that after every breakup or divorce, a few months later she is flying with another man. Needles to say, she is a magnet for white and brownskin guys.
On her Instastories brand influencer and content creator Murugi Munyi formerly known as Yummy Mummy has come out to give an advice all single mothers. She praised Akothee for being true to herself and not letting age limit stop her from finding love again
“I actually love the stereo types that Akothee is breaking just by living her life out loud. Living her life boldly and confidently and unapologetically. Imagine you you are there twenty seven years old with one child and you are like ‘ohh my God! Who is going to love me, I don’t think I will find love again, it didn’t work out with my baby daddy, I just don’t think am ever going to… imagine if she had that attitude?
Her she is just out here, she just like she knows she is a boss ass babe. She knows that she is gorgeous, she knows that she is smart, intelligent, she is financially stable. She is just out there doing her thing and she keeps finding love over and over again. I love that for her.”
She went on to encourage single mothers to not let single motherhood define them just like Akothee did allow it to define her.
“Let it be a message to all women. It’s not that because it didn’t work out with that one guy now your life is over. You have so much life left to give and you don’t need to settle for less. If Akothee is not out there settling for less why are you doing it? Don’t do it.”
