A businessman is counting his losses after an unknown money was stolen from his car at a parking lot in Iten town.
The man had supposedly parked his car and went to relieve himself, and when he walked back to the car he found the car was broken into and the money missing. The victim said he left the money inside the car moments after withdrawing from a bank within the town.
Police are currently investigating the claims. Preliminary reports indicate that the suspected thugs could have been acting on a tip-off from one of the bank tellers, or they trailed him for a while and swung into action the moment he left the cash inside the car.
The security personnel at the scene he parked the car has been asked to produce a CCTV footage that might have captured the incident so as to provide any information which may assist in the investigations.
