Questions As Religious Leaders Join Hands To Have President Ruto And Raila Talk.
By LatestHappens (self media writer) | 21 minutes ago
Catholic church Bishops, Muslims and several politicians have joined hands in calling the Head of State, Dr. William Ruto and Opposition leader, Odinga to sit down and agree amid great division between the sides.
The Head of State, has maintained a hard line on opposition protests likening them to economic sabotage warning on the robust measures that the government is going to take.
There is no reason whatsoever, for anyone to stand in the way of free enterprise, disrupt business, sabotage economic activities, or work as an economic terrorist for selfish interests. Such impunity must be dealt with firmly and full accountability enforced to vindicate Kenya’s commitment as a free market economy,” Presidnet Ruto said at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).
With Odinga announcing weekly demonstrations, 27 Catholic Bishops who are among the latest to talk after the demonstrations, have challenged Ruto to have a talk with Raila.
We also invite Hon Raila to accept dialogue for the good of the country. We believe that a sitting and a dialogue can resolve this dangerous standoff, Said Bishop Martin Kivuva.
With pressure piling for the two to work together, Kenyans are left wondering if the two will face each other after long time of political enmity.Do you think the two need to sit and work together? Drop your view.
