Investigations into the murder of interior designer Jeff Mwathi are still going on. In the second phase of investigations, various persons of interest including police officers at Kasarani police station will be interrogated at the DCI headquarters in Nairobi.

In his latest statement on social media, blogger Simon Muthiora who has been leading Kenyans in demandinf justice claimed that after Jeff’s murder, Fatxo, his cousin and driver went to Kasarani Police Station where statements on the circumstances sorrounding the death were recorded. They were however coached on what to say by unnamed officers.

Dj Fatxo then withdrew money from his bank account and then transacted via Mpesa with the aim of doing a cover up.

According to Muthiora, DCI needs to investigate all Mpesa statements, bank statements, deleted messages, and names of the Kasarari police station officers who recorded statements on the fateful day. IPOA also needs to get in.

Muthiora also alleged that Jeff’s body was taken to City Mortuary and recorded as that of an unknown male of 20-25 as part of the coverup.

This is because conditions at City Mortuary were perfect for the cover-up.

The family wanted the postmoterm to be conducted immediately but it was intentionally delayed and frustrated by some officers. The family was told that the government pathologist was not available. By the time it was done, 72 hours had already lapsed. Muthiora also alleged that the family’s private pathologist was bribed to agree with the government pathologist.

He told his followers that inorder to achieve justice, Jeff’s body will be exhumed. The process will be painful for his family, but it will be necessary inorder to discover the truth on what happened to Jeff.
