Political Commentator and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition party allied political blogger Pauline Njoroge, has said that she is smelling rat on the plot by some Members of Parliament in the country who wants to change the school uniforms for their own selfish interests.
In her latest message on Facebook, Njoroge has alleged that there is a plot by some of the Members of Parliament together with a certain cabinet secretary in government, who are in a mission to change school uniforms in the country and have one school uniform to be used by all schools across the country.
She argued that that scheme is set to benefit those Members of Parliament and the minister, who wants to lock out other people in the textile industry who have been in that business and take over the production of a new uniform when it is going to be rolled out. She has blasted the government arguing that it seems Kenyans voted in dealers and not leaders.
“I smell a rat in this issue of wanting to change school uniforms, to have one uniform across the country. I don’t know which country that happens but then, we voted for dealers instead of leaders. Hapa kuna interests from some MPs and a certain minister. They want to lock out other people in the textile industry who have been in this business, and take over production as the new uniform is rolled out.” She said.
