The oldest Kenyan party is yet to recover the deep cuts left to it by ruling party UDA. The purge seems not to be ending this more Problems for the party leader Gideon Moi.

A long term member of the party and vocal Nakuru politician has joined those dumping the party. In a letter to ORPP, the Politician asked the registrar to delete his name from the KANU register.

Mathew Langat for years stayed put in the party and always went against political waves for Gideon Moi led party. He noted the reason for resignation as agenda of the community which is only achieved with the right political outfit.

“Please be informed that I have made deliberate decision to tender my resignation from KANU effective today. My arbitration is well guided by the agendas drawn in the community which can be well surmounted in the right political outfit ,” he said.

Langat who vied for Kuresoi South parliamentary seat in 2013, 2017 and 2022 thanked the party for opportunities he was given.
