Kenya Union Party (KUP) has told the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition to forget about their political marriage as it officially cuts links with the opposition party.
Through its party leader former West Pokot governor Professor John Lonyangapuo, KUP has noted that they do not sone of the latest happenings being orchestrated by Raila Amollo Odinga were not development oriented.
He has since declared that the Head of State president William Ruto must be given time to deliver saying that the protests being organised by Raila Odinga and his allies were not of help to the nation.
“Others will say that I have been bought but I am not very cheap. Ruto won and he must be given space to rule. There is only one President at a time, William Ruto is ready to meet with anyone on the ballot in the next polls,” he said.
This is a major loss to Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance which has been losing several of its top Lieutenants which has been seen as a way of the party losing some of the strong people who used to support it.
John Lonyangapuo lost the seat to United Democratic Alliance movement Party candidate Simon Kachapin and he says that if he were to be in Kenya Kwanza, he would not have lost the seat.
