Bad news has emerged leaving residents of Samburu county after bandits kill residents mercilessly. The attack also left some security personnel injured and five residents killed. The incident happened when Kenya Defence Forces, General Service Unit and police officers were conducting their patrol only to be ambushed by the bandits who attacked them.
The move has made Samburu elders to demand for tough actions against those bandits as they are being slaughtered like goats. The elders have urged the government to put more forces in those regions and the security personnel conducting operations need to be very vigilant as the bandit might outsmart them.
The bandit incident has continued to be a great threat to residents of Samburu and other regions which are termed as disturbed places. The elders from Samburu are thus calling for mass action in those regions.
