What Kenya Defence Forces soldiers together with the national police service did to bandits who dared attack a military base in Kainuk, Turkana County can be revealed.
According to details, the daring bandits had staged a raid in the military base but they could not match the skilled soldiers who repulsed them and captured two of them alive.
Rift Valley regional Commissioner Dr Abdi Hassan two bandits were captured and a firearm recovered. According to the details we have with us,the bandits were suspected to be on a revenge mission after they were earlier repulsed by KDF and police officers near the Kainuk bridge.
It is reported that the the multi-agency highly skilled team had made contact with the bandits at Kainuk Bridge and a fierce exchange of fire then erupted. They were subsequently repulsed with details noting that there was no casualty among the KDF and the police officers after the attack.
