Celebrated Tanzanian singer Rehema Chalamila, popularly known as Ray C has welcomed her first child to the world.
The France-based Bongo Flava singer infact shared the big news today with her fans, and this was via a post on her Instagram account.

The singer infact posted a photo of the newborn for the first time, and accompanied it with a caption gushing over how she is now a mother to a baby called Shahrukh.
“Naitwa MAMA SHAHRUKH #ThankYouGod” she wrote.
According to reports however the baby daddy to the singer is a Caucasian man, whom she first introduced in 2018 during a show in the United Kingdom.
Even though Ray C never disclosed the face or gender of her child due to reasons best known by her, the disclosure elicited massive congratulatory messages from her fans.

Ray C announces her pregnancy
The announcement by Ray C that she is now a mother however comes just a week, after she revealed to the whole world that she was pregnant.
At the time she took to her Instagram account and showed off her baby bump, and accompanied it with a caption saying that God’s time was the best.
“Wakati wa Mungu ni wakati sahihi” she wrote.
From the post then it was clear that the baby bump was already grown, and this showed that Ray C had kept her pregnancy a secret to her fans for sometime.
She also did not disclose her pregnancy stage then.
Ray C suffers a miscarriage
The news of Ray C being a new mom is incredibly refreshing, especially considering that she once suffered a miscarriage.
This unfortunately happened in 2019, and the news was so heartbreaking to the ‘Mama Ntilie’ hit maker.
Sharing a picture of herself while at the hospital, Ray C then asked women to advise her on how to keep a pregnancy to avoid a miscarriage.
“Naombeni ushauri kina mama wote nifanyaje mimba isitoke? Imeniuma! Imenibidi nishee nanyi” she wrote then.
