According to the latest reports, three police officers are feared dead and eight others injured after an encounter with Bandits at Kainuk on Kitale-Lodwar road. This has resulted in paralyzed road transport for hours.

All the drivers flying in the area are afraid of the rise in cases of insecurity in the area. This comes after another encounter yesterday that left one passenger dead in Turkana. According to the reports from the driver, the attack came from a pedestrian that they least suspected would open fire on them.

This bitter rivalry attack comes days after the sitting Cabinet Secretary for Interior Hon Professor Kithure Kindiki gave a stern warning to perpetrators of banditry and the political leaders thought to sponsor them.

According to reports earlier released by Dennis Itumbi, they alleged that there were plans to disrupt peace and tranquility throughout the country to paint a picture of an incompetent Government. However, the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has the matter with them and they are working on it.
