On Thursday night Azimio blogger Wahome Thuku posted on her timeline about a girl in Kapseret constituency who had failed to join Alliance Girls due to financial constraints. He requested for online followers to raise money to help the mom take the girl who scored 422 to school.
As others were generously contributing, many questioned about how their MP Oscar Sudi had not come across the matter.
In hours about 300,000 was raised and hope brightened on Nicole and her mom. Hours later the legislator who must have seen the contribution, went ahead to buy items for the girl and even paid school fees. Through his Facebook page Sudi vowed to sponsor her through to Form 4.
“I dispatched my team to visit her family in Mutwot village to deliver necessary items required for her Admission. I have since cleared all the school fees and informed her family that I will offer her full scholarship up to Form Four. I wish her all the best as she embarks on a new journey in high school ,” said Sudi.
Many told him off saying he should have channeled the support to someone else in need as the case of Nicole had been resolved.
