Narok County Senator Ledama Olekina has broken his silence after a high profile closed door with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
“Today I held a long meeting with my Party Leader @RailaOdinga my mentor and true liberator.” Ledama said.
The meeting, which was described as “long” by Senator Olekina, was held at an undisclosed location and was seen as a powerful moment of solidarity between the two leaders.
The meeting comes as the latest in a series of steps taken by both Senator Olekina and Mr. Odinga to push for true democracy in Kenya.
Both have been vocal proponents of free and fair elections, and have been working to ensure that the future elections are free of corruption and outside influence.
The meeting also comes at a time of increasing political turmoil in Kenya, with the government facing growing criticism over its handling of recent protests and its failure to address the economic issues.
Senator Olekina’s remarks after the meeting were seen as a sign of optimism, with the Senator saying: “Ours is the quest for truth justice and liberation. Our people shall be free and we are focus on our goal.”
