The fifth president of the Republic of Kenya William Samoei Arap Ruto is currently in Burundi attending an extra ordinary meeting on the issues affecting Congo. He has highlighted that the meeting was a success and they will begin coming out with ways to secure democratic Republic of Congo as the East African community.
He was keen to note that civilians bear the burden of the conflict where most of them have been driven out of their homes. He went ahead to note that they must be protected to ensure that the country is stable politically as the violence is externally influenced.
He has urged the entire East African countries to collaborate and ensure that Democratic Republic of Congo is safe again. He highlighted that a peaceful country will be prosperous and they would use the minerals to help improve the living standards of the people in the country.
