The wife to the former Education Cabinet Secretary and now the deceased Professor George Magoha’s wife Barbara Magoha on Tuesday spilt the beans on why the duo only had one child in the course of their 40-years marriage. Despite the accumulation of wealth and the chance to have as many kids as they wished, there were touching reason as to why Barbara couldn’t sire more children.
While addressing a group of dignitaries including the president and the former Cabinet Secretaries at her home in Nairobi, Barbara had quite a number of complications while giving birth to her only child Michael Magoha, she revealed that the circumstances behind her first birth gave the late husband a lot of stress as it was a matter of life and death.
Following the harrowing experience that Barbara had while giving birth to Michael, the couple settling on having only one child out of the fear of the unknown. She cited that George Magoha witnessed the complications that she went through and wasn’t a happy man at the time of the birth of their first child, all these summed up why the couple only gave birth to one child who followed the footsteps of his father to become a medical doctor. Meanwhile Barbara is also a medical doctor and a lecturer.
