“I Called Waithaka Wa Jane but He Told Me Not To Disturbed Him” JB Maina Said

If you are a fan of Kikuyu secular songs and mostly the old skull songs you might have come across this energetic old man called JB Maina who is a famous Kikuyu secular artist.

Now Waithaka has been sermoned by the court together with his fellow artists, Tony Young, Kaji Salim, and Kamwana wa Jane because it has been said that they are copyrighted songs without owners’ consent. They have been sued by JB Maina.

In a post that JB had posted on his Facebook page, he said that music must go on but let them interrogate the copyright law and see what it says when a person steps on another person’s toes so that people will stop behaving like there is no law.

After posting this, one of his fans reacted by saying”You could have called each other and sort this issue like artists but not taking each other to the court and action which have made people see that you have jealous on them”

On the other hand, JB responded to this fan by telling her “I called him (Waithaka Wa Jane) but he told me to stop disturbing him, he said that I should talk to his lawyer”He said.
