Legendary news anchor Catherine Kasavuli was today laid to rest at her home in Vihiga county. She was accorded a descent send off attended by several leaders including Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, Speaker Moses Wetangula, CS Ababu Namwamba, Martha Karua among others. Journalists and Media representatives were also Present.
While speaking during the funeral service Royal Media Service Information, Communication and Technology and Radio Director Fred Afune paid tribute to the late Catherine Kasavuli on behalf of Dr S. K. Macharia.
He revealed his close friendship with Kasavuli working in the media industry. He stunned the Mourners after disclosing that he used to hide with Kasavuli to smoke behind boss office. Afune’s revelation did not sit well with the section of the Mourners who disapproved of his ‘joke’.
